Space A.G.E Flowcharts Poster

On January 29th, 2022, Teens in Health worked with the UC Berkeley SPACE A.G.E. team to fully comprehend the order and different functioning pieces of the immune system. We did this through watching an informative video on the parts of the immune system, especially focusing on the differentiation between the innate and adaptive immune systems. Then, our groups each created a flowchart that displayed the path from the mucus and skin all through the innate and adaptive immune system. In the flowchart, we outlined the components of the immune system, which were divided into the innate and adaptive immune system. We learned that the skin and the mucus serve as the first layers of defense, and we learned about the junctions leading from the innate immune system to the adaptive immune system.
