What does Teens in Health mean to students?
โTeens in Health was such a rewarding and enriching experience. It allowed me to experience new areas in medicine and provided me with valuable research experience. Teens in Health also provided me with mentors who allowed me to feel comfortable asking questions and who taught me necessary material relating to immunology and immune disorders. Being able to write my own research paper on a topic of my choice improved my writing, research, and thinking abilities, and made the program all the more worthwhile. I cannot wait to continue to see how I can get involved in Teens in Health.โ
โ Emmy Ju (Summer 2025 Cohort)โTeens in Health has been such an incredible experience with hands-on learning, real-world projects, and the chance to explore healthcare and science in ways I never imagined. Thanks to this program, Iโve gained skills, confidence, and inspiration that will stick with me for life. Iโd like to give a huge shout-out to my mentor, Alan Wang, for inspiring me to think deeper, work harder, and to stay curious every step of the way. I learned so much, grew my skills, and had the best time with Teens in Health. I would do it all again in a heartbeat.โ
โ Saisruthi Vijaykarthikk (Summer 2025 Cohort)โMy experience with Teens in Health reignited my love for both science and health. The program pushed me to think critically about current advancements while inspiring me to contribute my own perspective to the field. With thorough assignment instructions and in-depth Google Slides, I was able to complete my work with clarity, confidence, and consistency. My writing and analytical skills have significantly improved, and I now feel much more prepared to conduct research in the future.โ
